KENYA`S DIGITAL VERIFICATION OF COVID-19 CERTIFICATES

Dear Valued Customer;

At Palbina, we always endeavour in ensuring you are informed realtime on industry developments that may have an impact to your travel plans moreso under the current norm and further safeguard your seamless travel.

The Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Health has collaborated with the African Union and Africa CDC, with the technical support from panaBIOS (www.panabios.org), to implement an online system to authenticate and verify traveller’s COVID-19 certificates in line with the guidelines of the Trusted Travel Initiative (TT) (www.africacdc.org/trusted-travel). This is to certify the authenticity of presented COVID-19 certificates by travellers.

Therefore be notified that you visit an authorized labaroty to take an RT PCR COVID-19 test and be issued with Trusted Travel (TT) code that can be verified online at Port Authorities. After the test you will receive a text message (SMS) and an email from PanaBIOS with a link to guide you on how to generate a Travel Code at trustedtravel.panabios.org. You will be issued with a Travel Code if the test results meets the exit and entry requirements of Kenya and your destination.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

  • The PCR Certificate together with Digital verification is only required to departing passengers whose destination country or airline require it.   All other departing passengers do not need to present this certificate to leave Kenya but are subjective to normal checks – e.g. screening.
  • The Trusted Traveller Code is also not required to passengers inbound to Kenya.  Incoming visitors will simply present their PCR negative certificates issued within 96 hours of arrival/transit in Kenya from the country of origin.

Should you require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.
